It’s always a great way to start the day when you roll into the crushed clamshell parking lot of a coastal vineyard and find a group of artists painting their vision of the 80 acres of vines before them. Met with winemaker Bill Russell for a story I’m writing about the Coastal Wine Trail in the Southeastern New England Wine Growing Appellation. Yes Virginia, they do grow wine in Massachusetts! Vinifera too!
More about Westport Rivers, in depth, at a later date, but check out their website: Westport Rivers Vineyard and Winery and plan a visit. Bring a picnic – you won’t be any hurry to leave.
